The number tracked here is an attempt at tracking the total usercount of Somnium Space. Somnium’s API tracks the number of players who have the launcher client running on their PC; that client is set to auto-start with Windows. Because of this, we can use that data and track a rough total user count that showcases how many people actively have that launcher installed on their PC (and when that launcher is running), giving us a somewhat accurate number of total players. The longer this site is up, the more accurate it will become.
Tracker does not account for users whose PCs are not online, or users who may have set the launcher to not auto start.
